Labels / Flexo
Flexographic printing is one of five
printing processes utilized at ALG. This type of printing
is an in-line process with many operations performed on press.
In-line operations included on our presses are:
- laminating
- bi-level die cutting
- perforating
- delaminating
- punching
- sheeting
- varnishing
- slitting
- fan folding
- die cutting
- ink jet variable imprinting
- scoring
- barcode verification
ALG Flexo Department includes these capabilities:
- Utilizes both water based conventional
inks and UV Flexo ink technology.
- In-line UV ink jet imprinting
up to 225 feet per minute for numbering, variable barcodes
or other variable information imprinted on each label.
- Five
"Mark Andy" presses with 10" capability and
up to eight- color printing. Packaging available in rolls,
sheets or fan folded. Video inspection on all 10" presses
for accurate registration at speeds up to 500 feet per minute.
- In-line
barcode verification.
- Verification and number control on
rewind inspection for 100% number control.
- Delam/Relam unit
for printing on adhesive.
ALG prints on a variety of substrates including:
- pressure sensitive paper
- high density
polyethylene
- fluorescent
- Tyvek
- vinyl
- Kapton
- polyester
- tag stock
- polyolefin
- tire label material
- polypropylene and many other substrates
Some of the items currently
produced at ALG include:
- Four color process labels up to 150
line screen
- Laser, thermal transfer, direct thermal
and dot matrix imprintable labels
- Tire Labels and thermal transfer
imprintable tire label products
- Consecutive numbered and
consecutive numbered barcode labels
- UL Approved Fire Extinguisher
Nameplate Labels
- Kapton heat resistant labels for electronic
boards
- Coupon, piggyback construction and other
multi-layered label products
- Product labels including logo,
warning/caution, POP and other prime labels
- Non-pressure
sensitive products such as lumber tags, placards, hang tags,
inserts, neck bands and many point of purchase items
