A Legacy of Innovation and Growth

Since our founding in 1965, ALG Labels & Graphics has continuously evolved to meet the growing needs of our customers. Today, we proudly operate three divisions within our plant, alongside our corporate offices and a 10,000 sq. ft. distribution center.

1965
ALG was founded as Alabama Labels with a single 7″ flexo press.
1972
Screen Printing Division established, expanding into safety and warning decals for OEMs.
1978
Became an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) approved label and decal manufacturer.
1990
In-house Art Department created to expedite art services and plate making.
1996
ALG established the Digital Division starting with a 60″ solvent ink jet printer and a digital cutting system which added lower cost, short run, outdoor durable vinyl products, prototyping and quick turnaround decals for ALG customers.

The digital division now includes UV Inkjet for rigid and flexible substrates, water based ink jet, vinyl plotter cutting, thermal transfer and digital cutting with optical registration.
1998
ALG undergoes a name change, creating the need to have a name that reflected more than just a southeastern presence.

We re-branded to ALG Labels & Graphics for a more global reach that matches our customers, who now span across North America and internationally.
2000
This is significant as we continue to grow our business by acquiring MidSouth Design, Inc.

This acquisition added a second plant with significant flexo printing capabilities focusing on different markets.
2005
The addition of a Product Manager position helped guide our customers through new product development, testing product performance, assisting with UL Requirements and application engineering.
2007
This new position enhanced our already developed Customer Service Team.

The account manager provides more complex services like VMI program design/implementation, set up of on-line catalogs, assimilation of customers with large number of parts, custom material agreements and any other unique service you require.
2013
ALG is certified to the International Management System Standard. This certification reflects our commitment to quality in every aspect of the manufacturing process.

These standards are published by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization.

ISO 9001 outlines the requirements that organizations wishing to meet said standards must fulfill.
2015
With the addition of an in-house marketing department, ALG launches a new website, initiates a new branding campaign for ALG complete with an updated logo and newsletter.
2016
2016 marked a complete plant renovation.

Each division was evaluated for lean manufacturing processes and 5S, and based upon these evaluations, production equipment, materials and finishing capabilities were moved to best meet these needs.

Overall the flow of production was increased while also increasing the overall production capabilities in each division.
